We recommend using this service to send electronic files instead of email attachments because many internet service providers limit the size of the attachments. Generally, our file transfer service is faster and more reliable.

• When sending multiple files, please compress them into one file before attaching to ensure your files travel safely across the Internet. Compress your files before transfer with a file compression utility such as WinZip or PKZip. If you do not have any compression software, send 1 file at a time.

• Save your artwork at 300 dpi resolution and as CMYK to ensure color accuracy before you send them to us for printing. RGB files cannot be printed on professional four-color presses. RGB files that are submitted will be converted to CMYK (it is our preference that you convert your RGB files to CMYK before submitting).

NOTE: Microsoft Publisher defaults to RGB. It is easy to convert everything to a CMYK color space or to start a new document using the CMYK color space.

Use the following menu options: Tools > Commercial Printing Tools > Color Printing and select Process colors (CMYK). Please note that all images incorporated into a layout need to be linked and not embedded in order to maintain the CMYK color space within the image. Use the following menu options to link file: Tools > Commercial Printing Tools > Graphic Manager and highlight the embedded image. Click Link and click Browse to locate the original file and link to it. You will then need to send both the images and the layout file to us for printing.

• If bleeds, your artwork must have a bleed (0.0625 inch past final document size) around the entire design which is required for cutting and also a 0.125 inch free zone around your design. To ensure you get full ink coverage all the way to the finished, final cut-trim line, we print your piece 1/8” larger than needed on all four sides when you have a bleed. Then, after printing, we cut it down to the final size and everything looks great.

Note: Just to be safe, all important copy and images should be 1/8” (minimum) from the cut-trim line.
